Cứu vớt ông bà
Thờ cúng lạy lục
Chỉ là hình thức
Không ích lợi chi

Nếu biết tu hành
Sau khi vãng sinh
Về lại cõi Phật
Còn làm người tốt

Upon passing away,
They would return to the Heavenly realm.
If they lived as a good person,
Upon passing away,
They would return as a human.
If they were an unvirtuous person,
Upon passing away,
They would fall into hell
Or be reborn as an animal.
How then can our ancestors eat
The food we offer
Once every year?

Quickly seek solace in the spiritual path.

After receiving spiritual initiation,
I returned home to cook meat
For my family to eat.
The fragrant aroma lingers still.
My mouth craves the meat,
But I feel remorseful in my heart.
I remember the teachings
Of my Master:
To attain liberation,
We must be vegan and meditate.
Reflecting on this,
I immediately pray to my Master
To help me.
A few days later,
No aroma lingers;
No craving exists.
The smell is gone for good.
My Master is so miraculous;
As usual, my prayers are answered.
Thank you, Master!
